  • Save energy and money, increase investment protection and independence, increase competitiveness and make use of subsidies

acoenergy GmbH certified programmer of SOKAS (power efficiency optimization of refrigeration systems)

As of May 15, 2017, the engineering firm acoenergy GmbH is certified program partner of the subsidy program “Electricity efficiency optimization of refrigeration systems” (SOKAS).The SOKAS subsidy program is part of the “competitive tenders in the area of electricity efficiency”, which is carried out by ProKilowatt on behalf of the Federal Government for Energy (BFE).

The promotion program is aimed at chemical and pharmaceutical plants in Switzerland that operate a refrigeration system with a capacity of at least 50 kWe and, with an energetic operation optimization, reduce their electricity requirements in the long-term and thus save costs.

The funding includes the following financial contributions:

  • Reduced analysis (short, coarse and fine analysis)
  • Subsidy contribution of up to 0.35 CHF per saved kWhe
  • Total funding can be up to 40% of the analysis and conversion costs

Interested? And when do you start your SOKAS implementation project?
Our experienced engineers will be pleased to work with you to develop your specific operational and technical optimization measures.

acoenergy GmbH certified ProFrio- and KliK-refrigeration expert

From May 2016 acoenergy GmbH an audited and certified refrigeration expert in the optimization of refrigeration systems of any kind and exclusively done enables the funding to participate “ProFrio” – energy efficiency of refrigeration systems and “KliK” –  Climate friendly refrigeration systems. The programs support the companies to reduce CO2 emissions and  energy consumption. Thus, the operating and maintenance costs are reduced effectively and increases the investment protection of refrigeration systems.

CO2 tax on fuels is further increased in 2016

In 2014, CO2 emissions from fossil fuels in Switzerland have dropped not enough. This goal was not achieved. As provided for in the CO2 Regulation, the CO2 tax on fuels from 1 January 2016 will be increased from today 60.- to 84.- Swiss francs per tonne of CO2.

New company domicile by 20.10.2014

As of 20.10.2014 we could move into our own premises at the Wanneggstrasse 20 in 8542 Wiesendangen,
Switzerland. Due to the quiet and friendly location of the new offices, we have created the basis to serve you
even better in the future.

Increase in the CO2 tax on fuels by January 1, 2014

The CO2 tax is levied on all fossil fuels (eg oil, natural gas). She is since 2014 60 francs per ton of CO2, equivalent to 16 cents per liter of extra light heating oil. The CO2 tax is reported on the invoices for fuel purchases.

The Federal Council has the authority to increase the tax rate to up to CHF 120 per tonne of CO2, if specified in the CO2 Regulation intermediate targets for fuels are not achieved.

A first increase of CHF 36 – to CHF 60 – per tonne of CO2 took place on 01/01/2014, as the CO2 emissions from fuels in 2012 still amounted to 82.5% of the base year 1990 and the target value of 79%, thus clearly was missed. Further adjustments are 2016 and 2018 possible.
